Bailey really hasn't pitched that poorly is spite of the numbers. He has not had any help on D.

It just ain't our year. Get ready for 2012 by bringing up Mesoraco and Alonso and jettison the deadwood (Gomes) and whatever doesn't play into your future (Hernandez). Also, a manager who isn't an idiot would help.

The funny thing is that "preparing for 2012" might be the best chance of making the playoffs in 2011.

Votto's gonna need to hit for the cycle and hit about 5 grandies to make up for both of those throws
There are 3 guarantees in life; death, taxes, and the leadoff walk coming around to score.

I am thinking the same thing. Move forward and start the auditions for next year.

What do you think? Promote Janish? or is there another option?

You may be right. Can Alonso hit or field any worse than Gomes in left. Gomes reminds me of Adam Dunn only without the home runs or RBI. I don't know that Mesoraco would be any better than the current catchers this year as they have played well as a tandem, but the fact remains that Ramon isn't part of the future and he is the future at that position.

I think there are better options, but I think its probable they will recall Janish.
