Mudcats lose to Tennessee 8-3. The teams played each other 26 times this season and the Smokies won 18 games to Carolina's eight wins. Carolina is off tomorrow night and will play a doubleheader on Tuesday against the Marlins' Jacksonville team. Pedro Villarreal will pitch the opener on Tuesday.
Felix Perez did manage to push his hit streak to 14 games.

End of eight in Louisville. The Bats have manged two hits to spoil the no-no. Charlotte up 2-0.
Travis Wood went five innings and struck out nine. He only gave up three hits...very good outing. Maloney works four innings of relief. Headed to the bottm of the ninth.
Sappelt, Phipps, and Alonso up in the ninth.
Sappelt pops out for one out.
Phipps draws a walk.
Alonso lines a single to right...first and second.
