I am not shocked at all that this team has lost 17 games in a row. How in the world could anyone build a lineup any worse than Jack Zduriencik did?
I'm hoping it reaches 60 games or some other amazing number.

This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.
What is the record for most consective losses? I'm sure they aren't that close to it. I know the Orioles lost something like 23 in a row start a season back in the 80's. The Royals lost 19 straight a couple of years ago too.
The amazing thing is that the Mariners were only a couple a games out of 1st place at the beginning of this month. That's a massive drop.

Record is 23, I think. Phillies in 66?
I think its 26. Giants a long time ago.
The Orioles, IIRC lost over 20 to begin a season in the 1980s.

Looked it up, LvJ is right. 1961 Phillies lost 23 in a row.
The Giants were best winning streak.
I'm confusing winning with losing a lot lately.

Thanks. So they are only a week of losing away from the record.

You would think with all the pitching Seattle has they would trip into a 1-0 victory at some point.

I was ready to anoint Jack Z. the next great GM after his 09 Mariners won 85 games. Shows what I know.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
Looks like that streak will likely end today unless the Mariners blow the 6-1 lead they have right now.
It's over, 9-2 final. Sooner or later, Felix was going to be Felix and the other team's pitchers were going to be bad enough.
