Do the reds believe in Sappelt?

Do you think the Reds lack faith in Sappelt? If they trade for Bourne does it have more to do with Sappelt or Stubbs? Are they just trying to get more left handed bats in the lineup for a team that is really right-handed?

no, just like StL never believed in Jon Jay....till he kept hitting and hitting and hitting.

Apparently not, if they're that hot after Bourn. I could see Sappelt, plus Bailey, or Leake going to Astros for him. Not that I would do that deal, though.

I'd imagine they do, but that he has to prove himself on his own. Hot-hitting guys that weren't prospects before like Jay and Sappelt tend to have to prove that they can overcome their general lack of tools. Keep in mind that Sappelt is still a poor stealer, and he's not gonna come in and belt 25 home runs.
