    Mike Adams to Rangers

    per MLBTR.

Mike Adams to Rangers for Wieland and Erlin.

Just happy it's not to the Cardinals.

    Re: Heath Bell to Rangers

Nope -- looks like it's Mike Adams. Two good starting pitching prospects in return.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

So glad Walt isn't buying at these prices.

Almost makes you wonder if we shouldn't have gone against the pattern and done some selling to bring in some prospects. Those are two fine young prospects--21 and a young 22--at AA.

Rangers pen is sick now, however.

Padres said from the beginning that if somebody wanted Adams, they'd have to pay big. Bigger than I want to pay for a reliever, but I will admit to being a big Mike Adams fan.

I've rooted for the Rangers in the AL the past couple of years anyway.
