    Pitch count for volquez?

It's now 10-1 Carolina. Rhinehart is making friends (3-4, HR). Gregorius and Soto (2 HR) also 3-4. Villarreal pitching well.

Looks like Renken is getting a promotion to Bakersfield

Tanner Robles will be starting for him tomorrow night in Dayton

Dayton's getting whomped, 8-0 after eight. Jefry Sierra has the only hit. Josh Smith is coming back to earth.

Is it time for Soto to take Yonder's spot in AAA?

I certainly think so. What does he have left to prove in AA? Lets challenge the guy a bit and send him up.

Not until after the 14th.... I would like to see him in person four days in a row and I don't have the money to go to Louisville and Carolina that many times between now and the end of the season. Yes, I am selfish.

Dayton got 6 in the ninth, including a HR by Chris Berset, but it wasn't enough. Lost 8-6.

After being down 10-1, Billings now trails 10-7 in the sixth. Danny Vicioso has a HR. Arias is 2-3, 2B, 3B. Waldrop is 2-3, 2B.

Berset is the backup catcher to Tucker Barnhart in Dayton.

Billings comes up short, 10-8. Waldrop had three hits. Interesting pitching line for Porfirio Martinez: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 5 BB, 4 K.

Dayne Read is 2-2 with a HR for Bakersfield, which trails 3-2 in the fifth. Sulbaran has 6 K in 5 IP.

So assuming the Reds are out of contention...just leave Volquez in Louisville the rest of the year?
