False. On pace for a good year, just not a great one.

Not just sad any longer. More laughable.

    Ballgame. Wow.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Reds strand the free world on base, yet again. And there goes the stupid song. Why do I love baseball?
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

Still think it's just the pitching?

well 1-3 to start off the "easy" part of our schedule.
During my 18 years I came to bat almost 10,000 times. I struck out about 1,700 times and walked maybe 1,800 times. You figure a ballplayer will average about 500 at bats a season. That means I played seven years without ever hitting the ball. ~Mickey Mantle, 1970

Maybe the reason for our early 2nd half struggles wasn't the difficult schedule after all?

The good news is that the Reds learned that Alonso should never play LF ever again

That's good to hear. Wouldn't want a bat with a pulse, a .400 hitting pulse, anywhere near the starting lineup. If he doesn't play LF he doesn't play. Send him back to AAA. I want to see more Fred Lewis anyway.
