Went up to Quebec City for a long weekend (it's like driving to Europe). While up there we caught a Les Trois Accords show, which was spectacular. The band is a very big deal up in the French part of Canada, specializing in some monster vocal hooks. Their new record, Joie d'Etre Gai, might be their best. They did something really interesting video-wise with it as well, turning it into a visual album about a typical night in a bar. Here's all 10 tracks in order. If you just want to listen one or two, I recommend "St-Bruno" and "Les dauphins et les licornes".
I'm not a system player. I am a system.
Bump?
This was posted over a year ago and only has like 20ish views (half probably by me)? Heckin' beautiful. Need to see finally these guys, sooner than later.
Arise and walk, come through. A world beyond that door is calling out for you. Arise and walk, come through. It's calling out for you.
I downloaded the re-issue and listened to it on my drive to Florida. Excellent recommendation.

Hookworms and Uranium Club.
Minneapolis's Uranium Club put out two EPs (or two short LPs) in 2016, and they are both awesome. Irreverent, extremely tight, angular, with a touch of Devo. Highly recommended.

'Bout friggin' time.
In other news, he's finally putting out a new album on 02/17.
Do not care all that much for the opening single ("Do You Still Love Me"), but I've read that the rest of the album is quite good.
I refuse to allow myself to listen until it officially releases. I'm strange that way.

They don't have a huge Internet presence, but both albums are up on Bandcamp (and available for $5). For my money, their best song is the first on Human Exploration. I'd post it here, but its title is vulgar. Here's the Bandcamp link though!
Would reallyreally like to see them live, but, again, not much info on thee ole WWW.
