Make sure you get there early enough to catch Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. Dude puts on a hell of a show too.

Arise and walk, come through. A world beyond that door is calling out for you. Arise and walk, come through. It's calling out for you.

WOY and I are going to be listening to Wilco play live here (Hult Center in Eugene) this evening.

School's out. What did you expect?

One of my favorites from Wilco:

Love that Wilco song. That whole album gets me every time, especially the opener.

Here's a great new band with a really classic sound:

I'm listening to Nirvana Unplugged. Arguably one of the best live performances in the history of rock and roll.

I'm warming back up to them. I actually don't like that era very much with a few exceptions, but Nirvana's stuff has me coming around a bit.

That period is so dark, it makes me long for the days of Poison.

I think that's why a lot of people like those days. It is totally different from the hair bands and it's something rock and roll needed at the time. I'm 29 and I grew up in the era where this music became popular so I have an affinity for grunge.

My tastes run all over the place. It's probably easier for me to say what I don't like than what I do, which is basically metal and hip hop. I can listen to just about anything else. I go through different phases that last a week or two where I'll listen to one style for a while. A couple weeks ago it was Irish music, last week classical, this week it's female singers. I've been listening to Adele and Alison Krauss today. Who knows what I'll be in the mood for tomorrow.

Speaking of Alison Krauss, her and Robert Plant are excellent together. I was skeptical when I first heard that they made an album together but it turned into a brilliant match:

I've got tickets for that, and I've been listening to her latest album Paper Airplane a lot lately. Pretty solid album.
