The Bakers lead 2-1 in the fifth on Kevin Coddington's two-run HR, which is not a common occurrence. Renken has fanned five in four innings.

Coddington added another RBI with a double and Bakersfield held on 4-3. Renken went six innings, one run, six K. Tenth save for Salinas.

Torreyes almost had a two-homer night. The second would have been oppo. The right fielder made a leaping catch at the fence. He did not rob a homer, but it was not short by much.

The Hamilton GIDP was a one-hop rocket right at the shortstop and an easy 6-4-3 DP. Three GIDP's this year for Billy. Even the fastest of the fast will have some.

Great night for Robles against what appears to be a very weak lineup, but one that will include Shin-Soo Choo tomorrow.

Torreyes, future cleanup hitter for the Reds. He has oppo power!

Wow, what is going on with Coddington? He has been raking ever since being sent down to Bakersfield. I was hoping to see Fleury get a bunch of ABs after Grandal was promoted, but Coddington is getting most of the PT. Fleury might be hurt now, but even if he were healthy it wouldn't matter much. Coddington is playing very well.

We could really use some quality catching depth in this organization. LMAO.

72, does Torreyes go the other way quite a bit? Does he use foul line to foul line?
