Lost amid the dominance of Torreyes and the re-emergence of Hamilton is the season of David Vidal. Vidal's thrown together a very, very good season. He's shown a solid bat on ball skill, lots of power (a 500+ slugging in the second half with an 880 OPS), and he's doubled his BB rate over the course of the season.
That 14% BB rate over the second half isn't the only good news. He's cut his K rate by 5% as well. Add that to glowing reports about his glove at the hot corner (a major worry from the draft), and you could very well see Vidal as a top ten prospect-- perhaps even top five-- in the Red system.
