    8/27/11 minor league updates

    Scott Carroll was placed on the DL to make room for Travis Wood. Chris Heisey will beging a rehab assignment with the Bats tonight.

    I think it was meant as minor teasing towards perhaps both you and me, aka the others who questioned the nicknames originally, nothing serious.

    Regardless its good to have you back, the minor league forum has not been getting a much love lately since you had left.

    Ignore them. They're just messing with you. I for one am glad to have you back.

    As for my opinion...post however you see fit. If I can't understand a post (anybody's post) I ask. Simple. And I have a MUCH harder time with the sabermetric-laced posts than I do with some nicknames. No doubt.

    For the second year in a row, the Bats lose a game on a WILD INTENT BALL. This one all but eliminates them from the wild card. They have blown so many oppurtunities to get back in the wild card race this past month, the back to back blown saves and walkoffs in Pawtucket, the inning ending double play ball that Negron threw in to the dugout in Indianapolis, and now this. This has just been painful to watch...

    Corcino, Rogers and Howell have thrown 8 scoreless innings and Dayton leads 2-0. Hamilton, as the DH tonight, has two steals (94).

    Ravin has gone 5 scoreless. Carolina still leads 3-0.

    Drew Hayes gave up 2 hits in the ninth but struck out 3 for the save. Final, 2-0 Dayton.
