    Tony Cingrani

Stud. Looks like one heck of a steal in the third-round. He had an unbelievable start for Billings tonight: 6 perfect IP with 13 Ks. WOW! He has been great nearly every time out (this was his 11th start for the Mustangs) and he took it to another level tonight. I bet he gets a promotion to Dayton soon. Then again, they may be cautious with his innings and shut him down until next spring at some point. But man am I excited about this guy. A 6-foot-4 lefty that is flat dominating thus far.

Dayton should have a nice deep rotation to choose from next year. But there is zero chance he goes up this year. Dragons are in the playoffs, have a great top 3 in Corcino, Smith and.Lotzkar, deep bullpen, explosive offense and great chemistry. It's a perfect team right now. Is be highly disappointed if they don't win the MWL Championship.

Tony should be the opening day starter though next year. He could be a very quick mover.

So is the long-term plan for him a starter or reliever? He had most of his success as the closer for Rice, but he's been stretched out so far this year, with no relief appearances in Billings.

Any chance he might skip Dayton next year and go to Bakersfield? He is twenty-two years old and could be fast tracked.

Always a chance. If someone were to do it, he might be the guy from Billings.
