This game is the 2011 season in a nutshell. Men left on base everywhere, too many strikeouts, bullpen failure, runners thrown out stealing and/or running the bases. I guess the only thing we haven't experienced today was starting pitcher failure.
The throw definitely beat him, but he made an awkward slide like his foot got caught in the dirt. He ended up about 1 foot short of the bag and the swipe tag missed him.
That kind of emotion from Dusty is what these young guys needed to see two months ago.
Really nice day from Arredondo, he deserves to get a win.
