Dayton now up 6-0. Vidal has 80 RBIs on the year. Smith has given up just one hit (no walks) in 4 IP with 5 Ks.

Josh Smith, who has recently regained his stride, went six scoreless. Doyle and Wolford completed the shutout for Dayton, 6-0.

I believe that Wolford has now thrown something like 34 consecutive scoreless innings. In the second half he is unscored upon in 27.2 IP.

Heisey was 0-3 for Louisville. Valaika has been swinging really well lately; 2-4 today with a HR. Louisville trails 8-5 in the 7th.

Billings leads 4-1 after three with Guillon pitching. Spencer Dickinson and Ryan Wright, 1-2 in the order, are a combined 4-4.

Live in I-Cub territory and need to search out the minor league teams before coming back.

I go back to when Louisville was the AAA farm team!

Louisville is still the AAA farm team, I am not sure what you mean?

Nice to see Ismael Guillon starting to settle down: 5 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 3 BB, 4 K. Billings leads 7-4 after seven.

Robert Maddox is 3-4 with a HR, a 3B and 4 RBIs. The interesting thing about that lineup is that--at least since Sean Buckley has cooled off a bit--it seems to get good production from somebody different almost every night.

Valaika likely fighting for his life. The rise of Frazier and Cairo as utility options and the need for a 40 man spot for Mesoraco have him on the ropes.

Agree. Hard to see Valaika on the 40 man at Rule 5 time.
