Dayton tied at four in the sixth. All of the Dragons' starters but Bowe have a hit. Robles was responsible for all four runs.

Daniel Wolford just gave up a run. It is his first since June.

Billings dropped a 7 spot in the 2nd inning. They are up 8-1.

Micheal Griffin pitches the 9th for the Bats, allowing an unearned run on two hits and two wild pitches. Apparently he is thinking about becoming a pitcher next season - he has been having bullpen sessions with Ted Power.

Blaine Howell (he's good) went the final two and Dayton won, 6-5, on the strength of two eighth-inning runs. Hamilton, in addition to being picked off earlier, was thrown out stealing. He's having a tough time with these last five bags.

After five innings, Bryson Smith has this: 3-4, 2B, 3B, HR, 5 RBIs. Needs that single.

For that matter, Ryan Wright (2-4) has the 3B and HR. Juan Perez is 3-4 and Sammy Diaz 2-2. It's 12-4. Billings has 31 total bases.

With today's loss, the Bats have officially been eliminated from the playoffs. 2008 - 2010 was a great run!

Matt Fairel's 11.88 ERA might suggest that he hasn't fully recovered from his surgery, or whatever it was that kept him out for most of the year. Bakersfield trails 8-1 in the third.

Ryan Wright got a double. So now he, like Smith, needs a single for the cycle. Wright is batting now, in the eighth, with Smith to follow.
