    Thurday 9/8/11 Minor League Updates

Dayton fell behind Lansing 2-0 in the first game of their playoff series, but the Dragons rallied for one in the 4th and 3 in the 5th to take a 4-2 lead, where it sits in the middle of the 6th. Lutz singled home Hamilton in the 4th. A Sierra double brought home Barnhart and Duran in the 5th, with a Hamilton single scoring Sierra. The Dragons have been caught stealing three times (including Hamilton once). Corcino started, and has allowed 6H, 2R, 2BB, 6K. 7th now about to start, Chad Rogers in to pitch.

Billings hasn't gotten underway yet, but they may be getting the help they need. Missoula got three in the bottom of the 5th to take an 8-6 lead over Great Falls, who must lose in order for Billings to have a shot at the playoffs.

Great Falls came back with 3 of their own and have retaken a 9-8 lead in this seesaw contest. Make that 5 of their own now. They are leading 11-8.

Billings takes a 1-0 lead on a Maddox blast. It was his 16th on the season. Gotta like Robert Maddox, we share the same birthday.

He's been on a tear lately. I suspect that's where you differ.

That is, Donald Lutz hit a 2-run HR with no outs in the eighth. 7-3 Good Guys.
