    Cueto leaves game with injury

    ...third inning.

More info to come, I'm sure.

Looks like it wasn't in the third inning, but the fourth, and Lecure replaced Cueto on the mound. Don't know yet the nature of the injury -- whether something minor or more serious and troublesome.

He grabbed his right arm, that's not that great.

The weird thing is that it apparently happened during the first batters ab, but after Price & the trainer came out, they left him in for another batter. Dusty yanked him after the second batter.

Hope he isn't sidelined for the rest of this season because he's still a few innings shy of the 162 IP threshold required for him to qualify for the ERA title. Of course, Kershaw is bearing down on him for that title as well.

It sucks that they supported him so poorly this year he couldn't get to the 10-win mark despite pitching so great time and time again.

Oh well. Hopefully he can just pitch a full, healthy 2012.

No confidence in a quick diagnosis like this from the Reds

He's been diagnosed as being short too.

Actually it was Ed "The Wild Elk of the Wasatch" Heusser in 1944, but your point is still valid...

I was at the game last night and it looked like Cueto didn't want to come out of the game but did anyway for precautionary reasons. Hopefully he's OK and can come back for one more start this year and get that tenth win. Shame he didn't get the win last night.
