He's had a good year. A bad series in 162 games hardly speaks for the season.

sorry it just boggles my mind how asinine it is for low market clubs to pay up for a closer, look at what the braves do all their releivers are home gronw

Props to Todd Fraizer, I'm pretty sure he was the only one to put the bat on the ball that inning.

Let's hope he builds on it. Stubbs has had a rough month and a half.

Homer Bailey pitched what we like to call around here an "Edinson". Two bombs, four first-inning runs and then a pretty solid five innings after that. Phillips saved him in the third with a pretty nice grab of a bases-loaded, no-outs line drive. I guess all pitchers need a play or two like that behind them sometime during a contest.
For some reason Homer Bailey reminds me of Sisyphus, always pushing that boulder up the mountain. Will he ever make it to the top? Stay tuned.

It is a shame that the Reds were active participants in the NL Central race down to the wire. Joey Votto may have repeated as MVP. Maybe Braun and Fielder split the Brewer vote and Votto sneaks in with a ton of second-place votes.
Everyone waiting for Lance Berkman to stop hitting can quit. Berkman is a HOF caliber bat.

Nice to see Jay Bruce with a walkoff tonight. Jay Bruce's numbers with RISP are pretty stout. I would not have guessed. .299/.434/.563/.997. He catches a lot of flak. But those are numbers any team can definitely live with.
