The NCAA gives Oregon a LOI for Potential recruiting violations

Oregon might be in trouble because of their purchase of scouting reports from Lyles. Clearly they were worthless and Lyles is on record earlier this summer seemingly indicating that he understood that he was being paid for his influence. The NCAA has just officially interviewed Lyles and since the NCAA issued a LOI to Oregon, he might have provided them with similar comments.

"This isn’t stats vs scouts - this is stats and scouts working together, building an organization that blends the best of both worlds. This is the blueprint for how a baseball organization should be run. And, whether the baseball men of the 20th century like it or not, this is where baseball is going."---Dave Cameron, U.S.S. Mariner
