First two Philadelphia batters reach in the top of the fourth. And the 'Reds' the rest of the inning. 3-1 Atlanta.

So much for that 'Game 7' mentality that Myers claimed to have.

Punto singles. 7 out of 8 Cards have hit safely. 5-0 with Carpenter batting. Only one out. Myers kicks it up a notch, striking out Carp.

Error by Jack Wilson cuts the deficit to a single run, 3-2. Victorino grounds into a double play to end the threat.

Philadelphia with a runner on second with two down. Instead of walking Ryan Howard they just plunk him. Mayberry walks, loading them up for Ibanez. GM GA GN. Phillies will have one more go round.

    Re: NL Wild Card.

Kimbrel on for Atlanta to close things out. Polanco lines a single to right. We have a pinch runner coming on. Ruiz strikes out on ball four. Ben Francisco walks. Two on, one out. Rollins walks. Kimbrel throws hard, but his control is lacking tonight. Utley up with the bases filled. Sac fly. Tie ballgame. Pence up with two out. They wanted no part of Pence. Bases juiced again. Ryan Howard was lifted for a pinch runner earlier in the game. Michael Martinez up. Kimbrel out after 29 pitches. Medlin on. Whoa. Pulling the closer for a pitcher who has faced all of three batters this year. What a situation to be put into. He does the job. On to the bottom of the ninth. All square at three apiece.
