    AL Wild Card

I just looked, and Boston is 5-16 in September. Talk about tailspin. Now the final six vs. the NYY and BLT Orioles. Glad to see you can't always buy a playoff spot. Go Tampa.

But they have also had some key injuries hit them.

Tampa Bay and Boston tied in the Wild Card with two games to go.

    Tuesday:
Tampa Bay hosts the Yankees. Hellickson will go for the Devil Rays. He is 6-5 at Tropicana this season with a 2.41 ERA. Colon will attempt to deal for the Yankees. He has been sputtering down the stretch as the effects of steroid usage wear off. He has given up 11 Earnies in his last 7 IP. Would New York mind it all that much if Boston missed the playoffs? Nope.
The Sawx of Beantown are visiting the Crabeaters. And the Os were terrible hosts in the first game of the three-game set. Bedard toes the rubber for Boston in what one analyst called a playoff audition. Audacious. Boston may not even make the playoffs. Baltimore is sending a rookie out to do a vet's job. Britton may be feeling some jitters.

Yep, they are due to get hot at just the right time.

If they survive the next two days I think they will win it all

There is a worse third-base coach than Berry out there. Just saw the replay of Andino's inside-the-parker and he was out by a ridiculous margin but the catcher couldn't handle an iffy relay throw.

Boston up 2-1. Tampa lead the Yanks 2-0.
Sawx jumped ahead 5-1 but the Orioles are rallying in the 4th.

No score in the bottom of the second in CrabTown, as opposed to BeanTown.
