    Ozzie Guillen Gone From Chisox

It seems to be pretty much a done deal. Combine that with the announcement that Jack Mckeon is not coming back and one can easily picture Guillen wearing that ugly Miami Marlins of Miami logo in 2012. Rumor has it that since he is still under contract to the White Sox they will receive compensation in the form of two minor leaguers. Quite possibly Frick And Frack.

Word has it that the 2 minor leaguers will either be Ying and Yang or John Doe and Joe Smith.

It's a perfect fit. The Marlins are a very young team and Guillen is more suited for a gig like that than a club full of pissy veterans. The Marlins need some sort of flair going into their new stadium next year and Guillen is a borderline lunatic.

Turns out they traded their #4 and #5 prospects for Guillen. I didn't even know you could still do this in baseball!

In the NFL, it used to be that coaches under contract would be allowed to switch teams for draft pick compensation. That was stamped out a while ago. It's such a bizarre trade-off, for one team to get a manager and another to get players. Maybe this is the answer to the question "Why do managers still wear uniforms?"

Does Miami feel they have a chance to compete in 2012? Why wouldn't they just wait a year and then sign a compensation-free Guillen?

I'm assuming that, since the Sox are on the hook for his salary for 2012 after they released him that he couldn't out-right sign with another club without some sort of compensation.

Jon Heyman of Sports Illustrated (via Twitter) believes that Tony La Russa can have the White Sox job if he really wants it, though that is a big if. Heyman also tweets that he doesn't see Francona coming to the South Side of Chicago.
