    Prediction Time: The Newest Red

A lot of talk about blockbuster trades on the horizon and the need to infuse this team with talent. Without getting into too much clutter regarding who goes and who stays, predict the newest high-profile Red that will be acquired this offseason.

    I'll start: Anibal Sanchez
    Go BLUE!!!

Anibal Sanchez, high profile? We know our Reds too well don't we?

I'll say our biggest acquisition is someone like Jamie Carroll or Mark Ellis. And he'll get to play like 110 games. And then Walt and Dusty at the end of next year get another extension.

I think I know our Reds well enough to know that if Dusty gets another extension, 365 days from now we'll be talking about setting the playoff rotation and roster instead of worrying about topics like the one in this thread.I'd be fine with that.

Would be an interesting acquisition if they trade Alonso (or Votto ) for pitching. Would be much more likely if JimBo were still in charge.

There is history, well family history with Jocketty. Might be a good fit in LF.

Jonathan Broxton. Not that I'm crazy about the idea.

I think I'd rather have the former Reds starting SS know as "Soft J" then the former AL MVP.

I'll predict the the Reds will shock the world and get Jose Reyes and Carlos Beltran. That would only put the Reds payroll at around 120 million next year so yeah.
