    Larussa employing Moneyball

Okay, maybe not so much. Quote from last night after a reporter questioned why he played Berkman in left.

ďItís my tribute to Moneyball. Iím not a big Moneyball fan. I have this little place, donít have a big place. So what we do is we take the square footage between the right field line and center field and the square footage and from left field to center field, divide that by pi and we multiply it by bulls***, and then we pick the dugout. The field thatís closest to the dugout and thatís where Lance plays.Ē

    good one Tony
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."
