What football stadiums have you been to?

Here are, in no particular order (other than Ohio Stadium being the best football environment I've ever been in), are the football stadiums I've seen games in over the years:

    College

Ohio Stadium (OSU) - many games
Nippert Stadium (UC) - a handful of games
Yager Stadium (Miami) - Miami vs. Bowling Green
Perry Stadium (BG) - many games
Michigan Stadium (Michigan) - Michigan vs. OSU twice and Mich. vs. ND
Notre Dame Stadium (ND) - Notre Dame vs. Purdue
Commonwealth Stadium (UK) - Kentucky vs. Tennessee
Memorial Stadium (Illinois) - Illinois vs. OSU
Spartan Stadium (Michigan State) - MSU vs. OSU
Neyland Stadium (Tennessee) - Tennessee vs. UC a couple of weeks ago
Folsom Field (Colorado) - games vs. Texas Tech and West Virginia
War Memorial Stadium (Wyoming) - Cowboys vs. Bowling Green
Memorial Stadium (Indiana Univ.) - Indiana vs. OSU

Rose Bowl - 1997 OSU vs. Arizona State
Sugar Bowl (Louisiana Superdome) - 1998 OSU vs. Florida State

    NFL

Paul Brown Stadium (Cincinnati) - numerous games
Heinz Field (Pittsburgh) - Bengals vs. Steelers in 2003 (Bengals won; Steelers fans were awful)
Cleveland Municipal Stadium (Browns) - Bengals vs. Browns in final game in old stadium; still have part of the seat I walked out of the stadium with

    Vanderbilt
    Tennessee
    Georgia
    South Carolina
    Kentucky
    Florida
    Ole Miss
Alabama (both at Legion Field and Bryant-Denny)
    LSU

Places on my list to go: the remaining 3 SEC schools plus whoever they add, Army, Penn State, Oregon.

    NFL:
    Cincinnati (old and new)
    Soldier Field (old and new)
LP Field or whatever they call it in Nashville
    The old Hoosier Dome

I've also been to the Georgia Dome for the SEC Championship Game.

Re: What football stadiums have you been to?

Decided to expand on my answers a little. I will add this disclaimer: I am a Vanderbilt alum and I married a Tennessee alum.

Best stadium (just stadium): Bryant-Denny. It's beautiful.

Best pregame (outside the stadium): Ole Miss. Any real college football fan must spend a couple hours in The Grove at some point in their lives.

Best pregame (inside the stadium): Tennessee or Notre Dame. Honorable mention to USC and that damn rooster crowing and the song from 2001: Space Odyssey. Makes you feel like the whole state is coming after you.

Best band: Tennessee (yep, better than Ohio State)

Best song: From Dixie with Love -- has been banned by Ole Miss and I agree with that, but man, that place rocked when they'd go into that song. Yea Alabama and Glory, Glory to Old Georgia are fun as well. Rocky Top can bite me, even though the Osborne Brothers version was played at my wedding reception -- I love her family.

Most welcoming fans to opposing fans: Ole Miss and Bama. The people at Notre Dame and LSU were super also. It must be said that when you're wearing Vanderbilt gear as an opposing fan, they're usually happy to see you and extend pity and courtesy.

Loudest: LSU. Scary loud. It feels like the place shakes. Maybe it does.

Best tradition (and mascot): They have a live tiger at LSU. A tiger. They park it, in its' cage, outside the visitors' locker room before games. You must walk past the tiger to get into the visitors' locker room. Honorable mention to UGa and Smokey... I like dogs.

Best "doubleheader": A day at the races at Keeneland before a night game at Commonwealth Stadium. Only the strong will survive.

Best campus: This is the only place I'll go with my alma mater. It's like a pastoral New England campus, with magnolia trees, right in the middle of Nashville. Very cool place, all my biases aside. Notre Dame is beautiful as well.

    Underrated: South Carolina and Kentucky

    Overrated: Florida and Georgia

Best overall: I was at the Auburn-Alabama game last year, so that colors my pick here a lot. I can't imagine a better atmosphere for a sporting event, anytime, anywhere. I'd have to say Bryant-Denny. I loved my trips to LSU and Notre Dame as well.

0- I have never attended an organized football game in my life, at any level... and I dig football... just one of those things.

I'd rather listen to Kelch read the phone book than suffer through Thom Brennaman's attempt to make every instance on the field the most important event since the discovery of manned space flight. -westofyou

You gotta get to a game at Miami ... October is the best month. Great setting in Oxford.

In no particular order other than as I remember them. I've been to a lot so I'm sure I'm forgetting some. My favorite gameday atmosphere by far was when I went to the Marshall vs. Army game at West Point in 1998. If you ever get the opportunity to visit the USMA for a game, do not even hesitate. It is spectacular.

    Marshall
    WVU
    Pittsburgh
    Ohio State
    Ohio
    Miami (Ohio)
    Akron
    Kent State
    Ball State
    Toledo
    Clemson
    South Carolina
Army (absolutely stunning if you can get up there)
    Cincinnati
    Colorado
    Wisconsin
    Illinois

    Eastern Michigan
    Minnesota
    Indiana
    Central Florida

    NFL
    Cincinnati (old and new)
    Cleveland
    Pittsburgh (old and new)
    New England

    Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium
    Memorial Stadium (Lincoln, NE)

    Nippert Statium
    Paul Brown (UC v OK)
    Memorial Stadium (Champagne)

While Northwestern isn't a college and high school stadium, Welcome Stadium, ironically, is. It's home to the Dayton Flyers football team and also Dayton Public Schools high school teams.
