    Birthdays- 10/10

    Reds:

Wally Berger -Spare OF on the '39 pennant winners. In 1935, Wally hit .295 and led the NL in homers and RBIs while playing CF for the Braves. He finished sixth in the MVP voting. Jeez, what's a guy gotta do?

    Others:

    Troy Tulowitzki (27)

    Noah Lowry
    (31) -It seems like only yesterday he was a promising young lefty and I was advocating that the Reds acquire him. Now he's already been out of the majors for four years. Time flies.

Pat Burrell (35) After this year, I think you can pretty much stick a fork in him.

    Placido Polanco (36)

Larry Lintz (62) -Stole 50 bases one year, but running was pretty much all he could do.

Gene Tenace (67) -every time I see his name I think about the '72 Series and get bummed out all over again.

Bill Killefer -Light-hitting catcher of the early 1900s, included here because of his two cool nicknames: "Reindeer Bill" and "Paw Paw" (he was from Paw Paw, Michigan).
"In baseball, you don't know nothin'"...Yogi Berra

They are, but couldn't I add Andrew McCutchen 26? He really came into his own this past season for the Buccos...194 hits, 96 RBIs and 31 homers.
