Congrats to Brandon!
Congrats to Brandon!
If his 2012 is anything like his 2011 he will be impossible for the Reds to bring back. A Gold Glove, Silver Slugger, and an All Star in the same season means money in the bank. Congrats to B.P.
Congrats to DatDude!!! Is on pace to be one of the all time great Reds!!

Go Heels!!!!!
Congrats to BP!! Now, sign him so that he can retire a Red!!
John Fay of the Cincinnati Enquirer thinks the Reds are looking for an extension for Brandon Phillips in the neighborhood of four years and $48MM.
Congrats to Brandon. Hope they can sign him. He plays with a lot of enthusiasm
Would love to see Brandon a Red for life.
Over his last three seasons, Phillips has put up 6.0, 4.4 and 3.3 WAR.
Over his last three seasons before signing a 5 year, 62 million dollar deal, Dan Uggla put up 4.6, 2.7 and 4.9 WAR. Uggla is also a year older than Phillips.
Based on that, it doesn't seem Phillips would be content with a 4 year, 48 million dollar deal. A lot of Phillips' value, however, comes from his defense, which I think still tends to be undervalued in the FA market, so maybe the Reds would have a chance to lock him up to that kind of deal after all.
Look at the relationship between BABIP and WAR for Dan Uggla. Notice a pattern? Just thought that was interesting.
