Opening Day Moved from Good Friday

Opening Day festivities for the Cincinnati Reds have been moved from Good Friday to the day before.

The Reds will play the Miami Marlins at 4:10 p.m. at Great American Ball Park on Thursday, April 5.

The original 2012 schedule released in September had Opening Day on Friday, April 6, which created controversy because April 6 is Good Friday.

I'll still go, but now only taking a half day off from work. If it was still Friday I would have taken the whole day off. Would had preferred having the parade on Thursday and Opening Day on Friday...

I don't like this. I live 3 hours away and would love to go to OD and again the next night. I don't care for an off day on day 2.
I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.
