    Joey Votto's Agent

    http://deadspin.com/5861982/dan-loza...leaze-mountain NSFW!

I know some people will probably blow through this because it is from Deadspin but I still think it is worthy of discussion. Thoughts?

Caution some explicit pictures in that link though they are censored.

    He's also Alonso's now too I think.

Part of the article touches on how because this agent was desperate for cash, he pushed for the team friendly player contract that he got. He acted Catholic to lure Pujols, who until now may not have ever known he was a sleeze ball.

geez, gotta wonder what Albert thinks of this. You'd have to think the "rumors" would get back to him and his wife. Perhaps Albert is OK with them, or perhaps he doesn't believe them, or perhaps he just ignores them in hopes that ignorance is bliss.

    Interesting read.

Interesting, but not overly shocking, as it was intended to shock.

I have read more shocking things inside John Grisham novels.

This was a really interesting read. Not all agents are snakes, though. I would not want to have to live the life this guy has had to even if it made me lavishly rich. Surprised anyone would want to be associated with this guy.

I know and I'm sorry if its too much but I thought it was a relevant story. If mods want to take it down I have no objections. Didn't mean to offend anyone.

Yea... The article specifically mentions how ARod might have an ownership stake in the agency and used his clout to befriend prospects like Alonso and get them to sign with this guy.

    Class act. Wow.
I have a love-hate relationship with Albert Pujols. Mostly hate.

Guys like that usually end up dead or in prison.
Burn down the disco. Hang the blessed DJ. Because the music that he constantly plays, it says nothing to me about my life.

I'd like to believe this (the photoshopping, I mean). I've dealt with Lozano quite a bit--long (professional) visits, talks on the phone, etc.--and never had any inkling of anything like this. We have a common associate who knows him much, much better and scoffed at this story. Of course, that's not conclusive. But it's enough to make me at least question the veracity of it all.
