The 11th annual Big Red Roto League draft was held last night. 10 teams, NL-only, standard 5x5. Being the defending champ, I have the honor of throwing out the first name in the auction. I went Barry Bonds, $35. No one went to $36. Amazing deals all night as the other teams seemed reluctant to spend. Vlad was high man at $44.

Here's my team

C - Hundley $1
C - Rivera $1
1 - Thome $30
3 - A. Ramirez $14
cn- Blum $1
2 - Kent $26
S - R. Vazquez $6
MI - Reese $4
O - Bonds $35
O - Edmonds $24
O - A. Jones $22
O - Wilkerson $12
O - Grissom $7
UT - Vina $11
P - Burnett $17
P - W. Miller $15
P - Padilla $8
p - Kip Wells $7
P - Astacio $4
P - Stewart $7
P - Spooneybarger $6
P - Hoffman $1
P - Ashby $1

Good all-around. not alot of steals, not alot of definite saves, but, HR, RBI, and Runs up the wazoo. balanced starting pitching with pretty good strikeout potential. Of course, Hoffman is out, but, for $1 as my last player chosen, what the heck, if he comes back and gets 10 saves at the end of the season, he's worth the $1.

Any suggestions. Going to try to get Dempster for Hoffman. Need to replace Ashby (bullpen) and maybe Astacio (DL?) I feel I drafted by far the strongest team in the league, so now I just have to avoid screwing it up.
