Well, it was predicted weeks ago, finally happens.
My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!

Man, that's going to be a huge mistake after a handful of years. Better them than the Reds imo.

I wonder what this means for Matt Dominguez. If the Marlins are as high on them as they claim to be, maybe they'd be best served moving HanRam to second base when Omar Infante's contract is up.

If they manage to get a high-end starter, I'd say they're in pretty good shape for a wild card berth next year.

Ship off Matty D. He has legit defense but he can't hit. Infante is here for two more years and I don't think Matt should be in Triple-A for three seasons. Trade him now before he becomes their next Skipworth.

I don't see anyway he lasts more than 3 years with the Marlins. I give them credit for 'changing the perception', but I think once the Miami hype wears off I believe they'll go back to being the same old Marlins with a slightly higher budget.

    Reyes
    Infante
    Hanley
    Stanton
    Sanchez
    Morrison

If they add Buerhle or Wilson, they are a favorite for the Wild Card. I love what the Marlins are selling right now.

Just imagine if they do sign Pujols...

They should, they don't need to, but they should, just for the sheer spectacle. I imagine Sanchez and Coughlan and Infante could be packaged for a good pitcher or reliever or catcher, whatever.

Would they bat Pujols 3 or 4th?

If they signed Pujols their payroll would be huge and they'd be counting on a healthy Johnson to make a meaningful rotation. Perhaps they'd want a three way deal with the Reds for a CF or catcher while getting payroll relief and a young ace type from another team. Or maybe off load Nolasco for Volquez just to make room for Albert. You know I'm working my way towards another Hanley trade...

They'd package Gaby or Lomo with prospects for a pitcher. Infante isn't going anywhere. Coghlan has no value right now.

What's their upper limit for payroll? I figure they're at about 70-75 million before arb is settled. Another big FA will rocket them past 100 right?
