Two deals to end the Reds off season and take them to the WS

    Here's a trade I think could happen.
Heisey, Bailey, Hamilton, Corcino, Vidal, and Phipps to Oakland

    and

    Gio, Bailey, and cash

That would make our rotation one of the best in the league.
    1) Cueto
    2) Latos
    3) Gio
    4) Leake
    5) Chapman or Arroyo
That's a great rotation for the next 4 years.

It still is only good for 3rd best rotation in the NL aand I'm not comfortable trading away our top 3 prospects, five of our top ten, and our top two pitching prospects all in the same off season.
(Referring to Jack Hannahan signing with a Korean team)
Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.

The Phillies rotation would still be better and I would have to say San Frans also. Don't get me wrong that would be one helluva staff but it wont happen. i'd much rather see Walt get us a RH bat that has some pop to put in the middle of this order. I agree with u also OGB. I dont think we should trade the whole farm system in one off-season. heck if we made this deal we might not have enouph players for AA or A ball. we would just have a AAA team

I don't like Gio. Walks too many hitters, and is a product of pitching in the AL West. I think he would be a #4-5 pitching in GABP.

Andrew Bailey is a nice closer, but you don't want to give up talent for a closer. They are too easy to find in your own backyard or as free agents.

I actually think the Reds look fine going into the spring training. I would add some cheap bullpen arms, a fourth outfielder and a utility guy, but I would do it all via free agency. They have over $10M in payflex to get those guys, so it should be pretty easy.
