Bob Owchinko (57) -Former Padre first-round pick was a Red in 1984.
Lynn Jones (59) -Reds draft pick who was lost to the Tigers in the Rule 5 draft. Had an eight-year career as an outfield reserve; his brother Darrell had a brief trial with the Yankees. Not known if he had another brother Darrell.
Others:
Fernando Tatis (37) -On April 23, 1999, he hit two grand slams in one inning, the only player to do so. Later was out of baseball for two years; made a comeback supposedly to raise money to build a church in San Pedro de Macoris.
Lamarr Hoyt (57) -The 1983 AL Cy Young winner, his career was derailed by some pretty serious drug problems. Now clean and sober, he works in the White Sox organization.
Hank Greenberg -First man to slug 25 homers in each league in a season. Still holds the AL record for RBIs in a season by a right-handed hitter (183).
Tim Keefe -Star pitcher from back in the days when pitcher threw from 50 feet. Won ML games in 47 different ball parks, which as far as anyone can tell is a record.
