Joe Pa apparently near death?

"This isn’t stats vs scouts - this is stats and scouts working together, building an organization that blends the best of both worlds. This is the blueprint for how a baseball organization should be run. And, whether the baseball men of the 20th century like it or not, this is where baseball is going."---Dave Cameron, U.S.S. Mariner
Just heard this on ESPN. I kinda had a feeling it would happen once he lost his job. Sad...
My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!

BTN just reported live that Joe Pa is in fact still alive and that reports of his death are not true.
I jumped the gun on the thread title change too.
When all is said and done more is said than done.
In other news, Generalissimo Francisco Franco...
"Rounding 3rd and heading for home, good night everybody"
I just had a friend of mine post:
Someone should have followed Paterno's lead and "not reported anything".
Was in Tim Horton's tonight with my fiancee and she was reading on facebook that Paterno had passed. Thought it was odd that ESPN was the only one not reporting he had passed. Now I see why.
CBSsports was its typical self. They posted this news on their website as if they broke the news themselves, referencing no sources. But as soon as it turns out it's erroneous, they post a source. Typical, low class crap from them if you ask me.

That's sad to hear.
