Reds could have a great bullpen

Marshall and Madson are the late innings guys. Other guys who could cover seventh and eighth innings are Bray, Arredondo, and Masset. Ondrusek and Lecure middle innings.

Chapman could possibly throw longer relief if the Reds go that way. He would have to replace one of the other seven.

At AAA, most likely, guys like Judy, Horst, Brackman, and the two veteran lefties Reds just signed.

In addition to Marshall and Madson, I have particularly high expectations for Arredondo next year with injury in his rear view mirror.

This could be one fine bullpen.

I agree. I think the bullpen will be a major strength this year.
    I'm excited
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

I don't think there's any question that this will be our best bullpen since 1999. We've had some fine bullpens since then, but this 'pen could be flat-out dominant.

We had a great bullpen in 1990. I hope this is a repeat!
