    In 2010 Stubbs scored 91 runs, 52 came batting 7th, in only 299 AB's

    And though the sample size is small, his highest OPS comes batting 2nd. But the sample is just too small.

    Drew Stubbs is in scoring position whenever he's on base, whatever base it is. He's that fast. His problem is, he's not on base enough. It isn't strikeouts that keep him off base it's outs. period. He makes a lot of outs. But when he bats lower in the order, while he makes outs at about the same rate, he hits the ball harder. 50 points of SLG harder.

    Now, a case could be made for him to hit second. Pitchers cannot get cute with him with Votto on deck. That would allow Hanigan/Mez to hit 7th and Cozart 8th, easing him into life as a big league SS.
