With two hits already today, Kyle Waldrop is batting a rather respectable .714 for Bakersfield.

Pensacola scoreless early on, with Moscot on the mound.

Tip of the old ballcap goes out to Ben Lively. He faced one batter over the minimum over six innings, while striking out seven. Only a solo homer stood between Lively and six-inning perfection.

Gotta love the fact that most of the top starters in the organization--Stephenson, Lively, Guillon, Corcino, Travieso--were outstanding in their seasonal debuts. Crabbe and Cisco were also very good, as were Contreras and Josh Smith in relief. Nice.

Wahoos are up 2 1 in the bottom of the 5th. Yorman has both RBI out of the 2 hole today.
