"Hey Oil Can, what are you doing to the foul line?" I can't say I'm overly shocked but that is a lot of cocaine.

    The Can!

If you saw him pitch, this is not a big surprise.

My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!

The retired Red Sox pitcher has been busy as of late. His autobiography, “They Call Me Oil Can,” is scheduled for publication in June. In May, he will be filming his role as pitcher Satchel Paige in a major motion picture about Jackie Robinson, starring Harrison Ford as Branch Rickey, Richard Gere and Chadwick Boseman as Robinson.
Okay, this one has me a bit stumped. How exactly is Richard Gere going to pull off portraying Jackie Robinson?

Sharing the role with another actor, no less.

I imagine Boseman will play the younger Jackie Robinson, and Gere will be portraying the older, retired, white Jackie Robinson.

I don't see how he can say he was treated worse due to his race.
From memory, he had a pretty good 3-4 year run of pitching, then got awful.
That's why he didn't get multiple chances.
Ironic that he brings up Howe and Strawberry.. two players that got very little sympathy.

I just enjoy the fact that he refers to himself in the third person as "The Can."

Babe Ruth hit how many home runs either hung over or downright drunk?
