    Grantland: Game 162

A very entertaining Bouton-esque read by Tampa Bay's Sam Fuld on the Rays last game of the year and what players think...

Thanks for sharing. Sam, to my knowledge, is the only major leaguer to graduate from my high school. He's beloved and holds just about every school record.. Right now, he's trying to raise money to redo the fields and put in real dugouts. I consume everything Sam and almost missed this.
How, then, are those people of the future—who are taking steroids every day—going to look back on baseball players who used steroids? They're going to look back on them as pioneers. They're going to look back at it and say "So what?" - Bill James, Cooperstown and the 'Roids

I loved this line, "Frankly, I'm not good enough to have any baggage and remain employable."
