btw, are we supposed to draft based on what we think a team will do or what we think a team should do

You can draft however you want. Most people are fans of the teams they are drafting for and draft how they think they should draft.

I like the bills and have since I adopted them as my second team in college (main team is the bengals) bc my best friend is a die hard bills fan. Unfortunately, the bills track record of drafting shows a major lack of understanding which positions are valuable

    1st rd picks
    RB 10
DE 09 (at least they got the position right, but Aaron Maybin ugh)
    Center 09
    RB 07
    Safety 06

I mean, RB,RB, safety, and center for a stretch of 4/5 first rd picks and the other pick is Maybin hahaowow.jpg

Just trying to figure out if I should try to make a semi-smart pick, or buffalo it up and continue with their history of taking non valuable positions like taking DeCastro or maybe Lamar Miller at 10 in the first round.

Can we take multiple teams, so we can speed this process up?

Eventually we will probably need people to have 2 teams. It is still early and the draft only takes a week or so if people are active and we usually do 3 rounds.

Last season I put a thread up on the main Old Red guard forum to get more looks and the mods allowed it for awhile. Might want to try that again.

Can someone also post the official rules and procedure for those who are in their first Reds Zone draft?

Well I started it a couple years ago. I think what we're doing is no trades, and you have 12 hours to pick your player. If you want to spice it up and give a little summary of why you chose said player, feel free. It's a whole lotta fun.

I would refer to this thread as a reference:

    http://redszone.com/forums/showthrea...NFL+Mock+Draft

We usually go three rounds, although some owners only pick for one or two. There is a 12 hour limit between picks, although we use the PM system to notify teams of picks. If you aren't able to pick during the 12 hour window, you can PM your pick to me, Buckeye33, or anyone who can make your selection for you.

You can pick either way, if you want to take who you think the Rams will take or "should" take. I had the Chiefs one year and took Michael Crabtree because Todd Haley was coming over from Arizona and thought Crabtree would be a Larry Fitzgerald type receiver there. One year I selected Tim Tebow for the Patriots in the second round as a Wildcat-QB/eventual succeessor for Tom Brady.

We've only limited trades to real life. If the Rams trade the pick before the start of the draft, it would change. If it doesn't, you still hold the 2nd pick.

The problem I have with dealing picks is that it becomes more of a fantasy league situation where you might have a team that gets fleeced in a trade. A trade committee or a commissioner would have to be put in, and it would take up too much time and slow the process down.
