Spring Training is Great for Kids

We've taken my 4 year old grandson down to the ballpark everyday the last couple weeks to hangout. He loves it. I have to say that the Reds players are great. They almost always stop and interact with him. Brandon Phillips is awesome with him. Unfortunately, I haven't had my camera, just my phone to take pics.

My wife and I were there 4 days last week, we probably saw you there.

How do you like living in Goodyear? It was our first time to Arizona and we really loved it (visited Phoenix, Sedona, Jerome, and Cottonwood). We are contemplating moving to the Goodyear area in the future. I just want to experience the Reds winning the World Series while living in Cincinnati first.

This is my second spring training while living here...we love the area. We actually live 10 minutes up the hill from the ballpark. One of the many reasons we moved here was because of the Reds and it has been worth it.

Man, I am jealous!!! My dad and I used ot make the trip downto FL for ST, just cant get out to AZ. I have been there only once before (for Fiesta Bowl a few years ago), but really enjoyed AZ! Hope to make it to Goodyear sometime though. Enjoy!

I was 7 years old when I convinced my parents to take the family down south to Plant City for spring break in 1991. It turned out to be the most memorable family trip we ever went on. I was in heaven chasing the World Series champs around for autographs. The players were all very nice and the coaches too. If you have young kids, bring them to spring training! They will never forget seeing/interacting with the Reds up close.
And if you are an adult and has never gone...GO!

I went with my 9 year old on Monday and we both had a blast. Joey Votto signed his shirt. He was also able to get a Joe Morgan autograph.

The facilities are amazing. I can see why they left Florida.

I look forward to seeing the Arizona facilities. Though I am still sad to see the grapefruit league slowly going away. If you haven't had a chance to catch a game at Tigertown in Lakeland, I highly recommend you do that before it's too late.
