Against the Royals, Homer breezes through the top half of the first, two grounders and a fly ball. In the bottom half, Stubbs (LEADING OFF-GRRR) flies out. Harris and Votto follow with Ks.

Dusty will have Stubbs leading off by the end of April. No questions.

    Bottom of 2nd.

Bruce becomes the third straight Reds hitter to head back to the bench with the bat on his shoulder.
Scott Rolen makes it four consecutive Ks.
Lutz, playing left today, to the plate. Lutz looks bad making it five Ks in a row.

    0-0.

    Top of 3rd vs. KC.

Bailey walks Lorenzo Cain on four straight.
Kouzmanoff grounds to Rolen who goes around the horn for a twin killing.
    Escobar flies to Stubbs.

    0-0.

Reds strike for four in the bottom half of the fourth.

    Stubbs Ks. Yawn.
    Harris grounds out.
Votto, Bruce and Rolen single for the first tally.
Lutz goes deep for the second time this spring. This one of the 3-run variety.
