Foul trouble really hampered UC's defense in the second half, forcing them to dial down the pressure.
Yancy was huge in the clutch, although he really does struggle to defend the pick and roll.
Cashmere Wright has quietly become a terrific player. UC is a lot better when he's on the floor.
I think Cronin's adjustment to an up tempo game has really helped out Wright. He isn't a protypical PG in that he isn't very good when forced to play a half court offense. When he is in a run and gun, open floor offense he really thrives. Also having Parker or Dixon or both on the court at the same time has really been beneficial in that getting the offense started isn't forced solely on Wright.Originally Posted by jredmo2
The CAA was down a bit this year, mainly due to the bottom half of the league being unusually weak. (Trust me, I know, I graduated from one of those schools.) But I think the committee allowed the overall strength of the league to influence them too much, because VCU is an excellent team no matter how you slice it. And they're doing it having lost four starters from last year's Final Four team.

That FSU game was fun to watch, the St. Bonaventure played pretty well. Looks like Norfolk St. could give Mizzou a run for their money.
