Who do you think the backup plan for Arroyo is, Chapman or Marshall?
I think no matter how poorly Arroyo does in Spring, that he will be in the starting rotation for a minimum of 10 games in the regular season.

Let us then hope for a miraculous turn around. Some of those games last year were agonizing.

Getz line shot to center. You could really hear the ball hit the bat on that one.
Ground ball gets past Lutz and the Royals have runners on the corner. The new way of holding runners does not pay dividends on that play.
Hosmer sac fly to right. 7-4.
Reds have a split-squad game tomorrow. Both games at home. Hopefully not at the same time.
Lough whiffs on a wild pitch for the second out. Runner scoots into second.
Royals with 14 hits. Scored in every inning except the third.
LOL. Welch is saying that some teams are going to two hitting coaches, one for lefties and one for righties. LOL. That just strikes me as funny.
Maier, a switch hitter, strikes out. Both Royals' batting coaches hang their heads.

    7-4. Royals.

For Berry, that is mid-season form.

Lutz first-pitch hitting grounds to short.
Gregorius hitting for Janish. Strikeout. Jeffress is seriously bringing it.
    Phipps flies deep to left.

    7-4. Royals. Seventh-inning stretch time.

LeCure is going to pitch every inning until he holds someone scoreless.

Pop to Harris in short right. One down.
LeCure fires a called third strike past Falu. Two down.
Can of corn to left and Sam can call it a day.

    7-4. Royals.

Valdez up for the second time.
Infield single to the pitcher who throws the ball down the line. Valdez motors all the way around to third.
Ludwick fouls out to the first baseman. Valdez holds.
    Willie Harris with a two-base rocket to right-center. 7-5.
Henry Rodriguez grounds to third for the second out.

Prediction: Juan Francisco takes this guy deep. (Or maybe strikes out.)

    Reality: Francisco bounces to first.

    7-5. Royals.

Sean Gallagher takes the ball for the Reds.

    Golson lines hard to right.
Getz singles on the ground to left.
Robinson singles on a line to right. 1st and 3rd.
Gregorius dives and comes up with the ball to start a fine 6-4-3 double play.

    7-5. Royals.

Submariner on for the Royals here in the ninth. Tommy Hottovy. Debuted in the majors at 29.

    Navarro grounds to short.
    Lutz pops to the catcher.
    Down to their last out.
Gregorius beats out an infield hit. A ton of infield hits today.
Tying run will come to the plate in the person of Denis Phipps.
See ya. Wouldn't wanna be ya. Phipps Ks on three pitches.
