    Dontrelle Released...

Thought this was odd, bring him back? If nothing else he could be our best pinch hitter off the bench, lol. I thought he was solid last year, and loved Dontrelle.

I think the only real value he has left is as a LOOGY, and I'm not sure we have room for another. Really liked him, though, and am surprised to see Philly cut him.

Would you take Willis or Andy Pettitt?

No thanks. The guy seems like a decent enough dude but let's face it, he was 1-6 last year with a 5 era in 13 starts. In his 9 seasons he had 2 winning records.

Now, having said that, if he would take next to nothing I could see him as a spot reliever....with a short hook every time he went out there.

I would take him back with a minor league deal as a reliever

The Reds have 3 relievers as question marks right now, he could help bridge the gap until they are healthy. And if he does well keep him as a reliever and an extra pinch hitter when needed

Ryan Madson (elbow), Nick Masset (shoulder) and Bill Bray (groin muscle)

I would like to sign him to another minor league deal just like last year. It wouldnt hurt and would give us some needed depth for the rotation. I thought he pitched ok last year. He just had hardly any run support. AND I like him better than Francis. just sayin. IF(crossing my fingers) someone was to get hurt all we really have is Chapman, and possibly LeCure to start unless I'm forgetting about someone. I would take another ride on the D-Train

    Re: Dontrelle Released...

Is his bat worth developing in Louisville and seeing how he can play off the mound?

I also remember many of his starts last year he got next to no run support. I also heard that his horrid spring is partially because he was hiding an injury. I'd give him a minor league deal.
