Cozart flies to shallow center to start the proceedings.
Wilson with a soft liner to shortstop. Two gone.
Cairo sends the first pitch to the right fielder to end the inning.

Randy Wolf toys with the Reds "B" team in the first.

Weeks rips a grounder down the line that Francisco had no chance to backhand. It rolls all the way to wall and Weeks eases into second.
Nyjer Morgan rips one past the first baseman and Weeks has to hold at third. Tony Plush gets thrown out trying to get back to first.
CD Braun sends a routine grounder to third. Francisco comes home and Weeks is out from here to there. Whatever that means.
(I have no idea who that is calling the game with Marty.)
    Chapman Ks Ramirez.

    No score after one.

    Wolf punches out Frazier.
Francisco launches one out to dead center. It should be landing somewhere near Bakersfield in about ten minutes.
Ludwick lines a single to left.
Harris rolls one to first. Ludwick moves into scoring position.
Hanigan lifts one to CD Braun and the Reds' second is in the books.

    1-0. Reds.

Ex-Red Alex Gonzalez pops to Cairo in foul ground.
    Gamel grounds out to Francisco.
Carlos Gomez lines hard to Cairo at first.
Chapman on a roll. Five in a row down.

    Reds lead. 1-zip.

    Chapman strikes out.
    Cozart flies out to left-center.
(Doug Flynn is the other person in the booth with Marty.)
Valdez shoots one off the glove Matt Gamel to reach first.
Cairo pulls one down the left field line for a double and Valdez comes all the way around from first to make it a 2-0 game.
Frazier's bat wakes up with a liner to field to plate Cairo. 3-0.
Francisco sends one the opposite way but CD Braun makes a fine catch up against the wall to rob Juan of extra innings.

    3-0. Reds.

    George Kottaras Ks.
    Wolf bounces out to third.
(Marty and Doug Flynn talking nonsense. They are talking about how there were more hard throwers when Flynn played than now. Delusional.)
Weeks with his second hit of the game on a grounder into left and stands on first.
Morgan swings at the sound of a Chapman fastball. But, as we all know, you can't hit sound. K.

    3-0. Reds.

Ludwick is 2 for 2 with a hump-backed single to center.
    Harris lines out to center.
    Hanigan caught looking. K.
    (Flynn is kinda folksy.)
Chapman bounces one off the center field wall. Ludwick scores. 4-0. Chapman on second.
Cozart sends one down to Ramirez at third. Ramirez flips it across the diamond for the third out.

    4-0. Cincy.

CD Braun with no chance on a Chapman slider. Ks.
Ramirez lines to short. Two down.
    (Flynn raving about Chapman's control.)
Alex Gonzalez shoots one to left.
(Flynn with a story about his early career. A month into the season Sparky told Flynn he was going to start that night but if he had a bad game they were going to send him down. First time up Flynn tells Gary Carter he needs a little help tonight and Carter gave him a pitch to hit. Flynn doubled. Next time up Flynn tells Carter one more hit and he might be able to stay in the bigs. Carter tells him he is on his own now. Flynn singles. So I wonder how often that happens? That the catcher tells the hitter what the pitch is going to be to help him out?)
Gamel with a ground single off the glove of a diving Zack Cozart. Two on with two out.
One-hopper to Francisco who drops the ball and then throws just late to second to try to get the force. E-5. Bases juiced.
Kottaras singles sharply to drive in a pair of unearned runs. 4-2.
(Marty says Erra instead of Error. No idea why but that bugs me.)
    Wolf whiffs.
5 Ks, 0 BBs, 0 ERs through four for Aroldis.

    4-2. Reds.

Valdez rolls to the first baseman who tosses to Wolf for the first out of the inning.
Cairo swings and misses. Two away.
Frazier with a ringing double into the left field corner.
Wolf dispatches Francisco on three pitches. See ya.

    4-2. Cincinnati.

Re: ST: Reds vs. Brewers Thursday 3/29

Chapman charged with 2 ER on a miserable (I know. I know. ST stats don't count.) scoring decision. Francisco drops a routine grounder and throws late to get the force at second. Instead of giving Francisco an error they say the runner was safe at second on a fielder's choice. That makes the runs earned.

    Weeks strikes out leading off.
A Chapman fastball richocets off the back of Tony Plush. Morgan in serious pain. I bet he is. Morgan is staying in and stands gingerly on first.
(Flynn thinks it caught Morgan on the kidney. Ouch.)
CD Braun lines one off the wall in left. Morgan falls rounding second -probably a delayed reaction to getting drilled - and will hold at third.
Chapman gets Ramirez to foul pop to Hanigan for out number two.
Alex Gonzalez sends one high into shallow center and Janish corrals it to end the threat.

    Probable final line for Aroldis. 5IP 7H 2R 2ER 0BB 6K.

    4-2. Reds.

Ryan Ludwick lines the first pitch into center for his third hit of the game.
Solid single by Harris puts runners on the corners on a hit and run.
Hanigan grounds a single into right to drive in Ludwick. 1st and 2nd. No out.
David Vidal will pinch hit for Chapman. High fly ball deep to the warning track in right. Both runners tag and move up 90 feet.
Janish sends one deep to left-center to drive in a run. Reds get those two runs back. Janish deserves a spot on this team.
Valdez grounds the ball through the infield to plate Hanigan. 7-2.
Valdez runs and nobody covers second. Stolen base. Nice.
Bouncer to third. Ramirez picks and throws. Three out.

    7-2. Reds.
