    3/23 Reds vs. Pads

Reds lost 5-2 to the Padres last night. Arroyo got lit up in the 1st inning. Volquez was sharp and got the win. Alonso went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored. Boxberger pitched a perfect 9th with 2 SOs for the save.

    No pressure Mr. Latos.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Arroyo walked six in four innings. Not good.

Rather he walked six than gave up six homers. I doubt he'll walk that many in a game in the regular season, so as long as he's keeping the ball in the park, I'm not that worried.
