I admit being down on baseball after watching small and mid-market teams lose their best players to the big boys. Seeing the Reds do what they can to lock up theirs has gotten me back in. I still feel the revenue system in baseball is messed up, but at least the Reds are trying to hold their own.

Hanley Ramirez is playing third base with cement feet.

Votto day dreaming about what he's going to do with all the money he has now.

Picked off to end the inning.

It is Opening Day and he is Joey Votto, but I don't understand guys getting picked off when there is almost no chance they're even thinking about running.

And now Cueto picks off Bonifacio. Back-to-back base runners picked off.

Cueto picks off Bonifacio, and then on the next pitch strikes out Ramirez.

Cueto certainly is getting ahead of hitters, just can't seem to get a borderline call for a strikeout looking.

    Great pickoff play.
    Thank goodness for baseball.

Style points to Votto on that last play, falling backward while fielding the throw.

I think the trivia question was specifically relating to starting, but Hamilton did pinch hit in the opening day game back in 2007 I believe.

I'm watching it on ESPN so I didn't see it, if it's starting that would obviously change it.
