Votto grounds into a 4-6-3 double play. BP moves to third. Olden can still knock in a run here with a single.

Cozart is impressive. Big step up from Janish but teams also don't have alot of film on him yet

Rolen grounds out to Reyes, dashing the Reds hops of putting up a run. Maybe Bruce, Heisey and Stubbs can get it done next go around.

You say it like those are the only two options.

No, of course not. Working the pitch count definitely is beneficial to any offense. But to say we're deficient offensively just because of that shortcoming would be inaccurate I feel.

That's not the only place our offense falls short, but I'd like to shy away from innings where our guys are hacking away and go down in order on six pitches.

I really believe Stubbs would be one of the most dangerous guys in baseball if he got very good at taking walks. Once he's on first, pitchers panic. I don't care if he's bunting, hitting singles or getting hit in the face by pitches every other at bat, he needs to get on base.

And once our starter is pulled, we need to start working the count to get their pitches up and get them out of the game as well. Something this club really needs to work on and I think could put it over the top offensively.

But I understand my sabre ways aren't for everyone.

And LeCure just gave up a two run shot to Ramirez. That's Ramirez' first hit of the season.

    6-2 Fish. Dusty looks confused.
